Serious Collision Involving Young Children on A303
A tragic incident unfolded yesterday evening on the A303 near Amesbury, Wiltshire, where a horror crash involving three vehicles left two young boys injured. The accident occurred around 5:30 PM, prompting an urgent response from emergency services.
The collision began when a grey Skoda Karoq and a white Peugeot 208 collided, resulting in severe consequences for those involved. The impact caused the Peugeot to spin out of control, crossing the barriers and crashing into a silver Volvo V70 traveling in the opposite direction. Among the occupants of the Peugeot were a woman in her early 20s, who was behind the wheel, and her two young passengers.

- A five-year-old boy sustained injuries that are not expected to be life-changing.

In the wake of the accident, Wiltshire Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses, particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident. The area was closed off in both directions to facilitate recovery operations, but the eastbound carriageway has since reopened, while the westbound is expected to follow suit shortly.

“We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A303 near Amesbury yesterday afternoon, in which a young child suffered life-threatening injuries. The incident took place at around 5:30 PM near the Bulford junction, east of Amesbury. A grey Skoda Karoq joined the A303 eastbound at the Amesbury Road junction and collided with a white Peugeot 208 traveling in the same direction. This caused the Peugeot to spin onto the westbound carriageway through the gap in the barriers, colliding head-on with a silver Volvo V70 traveling in the opposite direction.”
