The Glastonbury Festival 2025 Line-Up Announcement
The excitement for the Glastonbury Festival 2025 is already building with the unveiling of its first line-up poster. Headlining the iconic event will be pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, the acclaimed band The 1975, and rock legend Neil Young.
On Friday, June 27, The 1975 will take the stage, followed by Neil Young on Saturday, and Olivia Rodrigo will close out the festival on Sunday. This year’s festival will also see the debut performances of several artists including Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young, and the rising US rap star Doechii, who will headline the West Holts stage.
Returning favorites such as Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner, and the Scissor Sisters are set to bring their unique sounds back to the festival. Neil Young’s participation was confirmed earlier this year, after he initially hesitated to perform at the Pyramid stage due to concerns about the festival’s corporate ties with the BBC, which holds broadcasting rights.
The 1975, helmed by frontman Matty Healy, have made headlines for their daring performances but have not yet headlined at Glastonbury. Recently, the band was found not liable for a lawsuit stemming from their controversial on-stage kiss during a Malaysian festival, which led to the event’s premature closure.
Olivia Rodrigo, the Disney star turned pop icon, had a whirlwind year with her tour promoting her chart-topping album Guts. Known for smash hits like Driver’s Licence, Vampire, and Good 4 U, Rodrigo also toured with her debut album Sour in 2022, playing at venues like The O2 in London and Madison Square Garden in New York.
More artists will be announced as the festival approaches, which kicks off on June 25. Tickets, priced at £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, have already sold out, though a limited resale will occur in April. Following this year’s festivities, Glastonbury will take a “fallow year” before returning in 2027. The 2024 edition featured an impressive line-up with Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Sza as headliners.
