Man City Investigates Erling Haaland Incident Following Injury Concerns

Erling Haaland, the star striker for Manchester City, may face a significant setback in his season due to an ankle injury sustained during the FA Cup semi-final against Bournemouth, where City triumphed 2-1. The Norwegian forward experienced the injury last Saturday and has since been under medical scrutiny to determine its severity.

After undergoing initial scans on Monday, Haaland was referred to a specialist for further evaluation. Unfortunately, the prognosis is not promising, as the specialist has indicated that Haaland will be sidelined for a minimum of seven weeks.

City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, provided an update on the situation, stating: “The doctors have informed me that he will be out for between five and seven weeks. Our hope is that he can return by the end of the season and be ready for the Club World Cup.”

The concern for Haaland’s health peaked when he was seen departing the Vitality Stadium on crutches, wearing a protective boot, which heightened fears among the Etihad supporters.

This injury adds to the growing list of challenges for Guardiola, who is experiencing one of his most difficult seasons in charge of Manchester City. He expressed his disappointment, saying: “Sometimes, seasons unfold in unexpected ways. This year has certainly had its challenges. I feel for Erling and hope he can recover swiftly and return to the pitch as soon as possible.”
